Regular Meeting 6-11-2026
Riders Club Meeting 3-11-2026
A member's ride took place before the regular meeting. Just a few riders took advantage of the ride. It's a great time to meet other members and join in on some fun. Hopefully we will have a better turn out next month.
No executive meeting took place before the regular meeting.
Meeting Minutes
The regular meeting started promptly at 7:30 pm.
The secretary started the meeting by reading May’s meeting minutes, the minutes were approved by the present voting members.
The treasure report was read by the treasure and approved by the present voting members.
The need for a weed-eater for the grounds crew was brought up. To keep the club working and looking nice it was determined and voted on that a new weed-eater should be purchased. Mike, who works at Kendallville Powersports, is going to get an estimate on a weed-eater and work with our treasure to make this happen. Again a shout out to Kevin Kline and crew for keeping our grounds looking good. It's much appreciated.
A vote was taken on whether or not our treasure needs a laptop to conduct club business. With as much work as Don and Shella put into the job, it was determined and approved that a new laptop is something that that position should have. Quotes will be taken and a laptop will be purchased in the near future. A cap was put on the purchase in the amount of $1000.00.
New Recreational members were introduced, which were Bill Seals, Stephanie Hoover and Richard and Amy Worsham. Welcome.
Mike from Kendallville Powersports is almost finished routing a dual sport ride.Mike and Kevin Kline will finalize the plan and have a date in the July meeting. A tentative date for the ride will be either August or early September.
Update on the MX track repairs. An estimate came back at$ 4200 to fix one of the containers. Many of the members were under the impression that $4200 was the cost to fix both. The idea to fix the MX track was tabled until the July meeting. Members should consider the following three ideas.
- Remove the containers and repair the track with respect to the crossing to the kids track to slow traffic as this would provide a safer transition over the MX track to the kids track.
- Repair one container at a cost of $4,200, remove the worst one by the clubhouse, and fixt the track to slow traffic.
- Repair both, with a cost estimate.
At the July meeting the board will outline how much money has been spent, which may help the club determine which direction to take.
Seth has put together a plan for the new club sign at the clubgrounds. Check it out on the signal app and let him know which is your favorite. The final determination for which design we will use will take place at the July meeting.
Randy and Shara Keen are putting together a family day at the club grounds. They have set a date of July 11th. Shara is going to organize a women's ride for all ages. Put it on your calendar as it should be a good time. Randy will have more information and details at the July meeting.
Rich Bender brought up the idea of having some of the positions, namely the treasure position for our club be a paid position with either worker points or reduced membership fees. At this time it's just an idea and many details need to be hammered out. The treasure puts in a lot of work as do the other people who run the club, but the treasure position is truly a lot of work. Thank you to Donny and Shela, as well as the former treasures for doing this work.
Chad from Finishline RaceWay would like to let you know that he can meet or beat the price for bike parts and accessories. Contact him at 260-587-3032
