Riders MC Club Meeting

An executive meeting took place before the regular meeting, members present were Mike, Rich, Donny and Chad. Seth, who could not make the meeting, provided us with an agenda, which was discussed during this time.

Our regular meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Mike (VP).
Minutes from the August meeting were read.
Donny provided the treasurer report.
A vote was taken to approve the minutes and the treasurer report. All were in favor.
Old Business
The issue of our neighbors, to the east of the club grounds, Amanda and Dean, was discussed. Amanda and Dean want to join our club or rather have permission to use our club grounds for recreation purposes. They do not currently own motorcycles. Members discussed the pros and cons of having them as members. Much discussion was focused on the liability of having them as members. Many good ideas were discussed. With work kicking off on our enduro, the members decided to table this idea until after the enduro wraps up. This will enable the club to assess the true liability of this issue, and come up with the best possible solution.
New Business
New Recreational members Kellen Mitchener and Tom Roose were voted in.
Kyle Oberlin was voted in as a working member.
Welcome Gentleman!
There is a Fun/Adventure ride leaving from the club grounds this Sunday for club members. If you are interested in going on the ride, please be at the clubgrounds at 10am 9-13-2026. Mike from Kendallville PowerSports will be heading up the ride. Your motorcycle must be plated and road worthy.
Enduro News
Most of the needed permissions for land use have been approved with just a few outstanding.
We have lost and gained some land for our enduro. Mike, Tim, Jerry and Jim are in the process or have hammered out a new plan for the Saturday and Sunday route. Huge thank you to these people!
Jim B. is taking care of getting the permission for the use of the ski hill and should have that wrapped up very soon.
Our first work day will be this Saturday 9-12-2026. The group will meet at the US6 & SR15 restaurant (6&15 restaurant) at 9am. They plan on being in the woods at 10am. Please check in with Tim S. as he will track your attendance which transfers to your working points for the year. Please track your dates and times that you worked yourself as well.
Jim B. brought up that the Muddobbers MC club ran a Trail Riders class before the scored riders left or started on row one during their Family Enduro in June. After some discussion this seems like it could work for us. This idea may eliminate the problem of the riders who would like to participate but neither keep score or ride on their minute. They would leave 20 minutes before row 1 begins. This would also burn in the trail for row 1, which will help the smaller riders. Jerry put a call into a member of the Muddobbers club and came up with some more information. It's still in discussion, but it seems like this will work without too much effort.
